Athletics
Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound offers a variety of sports for male and female student-athletes in 4th-12th grade. We participate in the Texas Charter School Academic & Athletic League (TCSAAL), a state-wide academic and athletic league for charter schools. Information regarding their programs may be found on the leagues' website at https://texascharter.vensport.com/. Our student-athletes are required to complete a physical every two years prior to trying out for a sport. We also require each student-athlete and their parent/guardian to read and sign the FCA FM Athletics Handbook, which can be found below under “Physicals and Participation Forms". Physicals and Participation Forms
Before a student can participate in the Founders Classical Academy Athletics Program, the student must undergo a physical exam with a licensed physician, and his or her parent/guardian must complete several sports participation forms. Physicals must be passed once every two years, whereas sports participation forms must be completed each school year.
If you are the parent of a student in 4th-12th grade who intends to compete in athletics, it is best to schedule your student's physical during the summer. The required athletics forms are available to athletes through Skyward. You may also click here to download the sports physical form.
All student-athletes and their parent/guardian are required to read and sign the Founders Flower Mound Athletics Handbook while participating in their respective sport(s). You may find the Handbook here.
Additionally, students are required to read and sign the following Responsive Education Solutions (RES) forms (these forms will be updated prior to the start of the school year and uploaded to Skyward): Intent to Participate - Activity Waiver, Student Athletic Handbook, and the Athletic Packet.
