Welcome FCA FM Families,
We are excited for you to join us on Friday August 8, for our Meet the Teacher event from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on our campuses. To give you more time with your child's teachers on this day, please read through the important information and documents in this email. Please note that Grammar students will receive a welcome email from your child’s teacher on Tuesday August 5, with more specific classroom details.
Grammar Grade Level Presentations from 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Meet your child’s teacher and listen to a short presentation about classroom policies and procedures for the year.

For families with multiple children in grammar, if you have a conflict, please choose one grade presentation to attend, drop off supplies, and pick up packets for any other students in your family. If you have further questions, please contact the office.
Upper School Students (6th- 12th grades) from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Students will receive a copy of their schedule, walk through their schedule, set up their lockers, and meet their teachers. Teachers will hand out their course syllabus and be available to answer general questions about the course, supplies required, and classroom expectations.

Lockers
All middle school students (grades 6-12) will be assigned a locker. All students and parents will need to read, sign, and submit the Locker Agreement Form in Skyward before receiving their locker assignment.
Student Parking
All students who want to park at the school are REQUIRED to purchase a parking permit for the year and will be assigned a specific designated spot. Students must complete the parking permit Application form and provide a photocopy of their license and proof of insurance. Students may also pick up a hard copy of the form on-site. The front office is available to make photocopies of driver’s licenses and insurance cards. Students can also email the assistant headmaster digital copies of insurance information. Students will receive their parking permit sticker, which must be placed in their windshield. The cost is $25. CASH ONLY! Students may purchase a parking permit at any time during the school year.
Seniors may paint their parking spot for an additional $40 fee. CASH ONLY! Parking space designs must be pre-approved. Design examples and the design approval form can be found here.
Planner Purchases
The FCA FM School planner is required for all grades 2-5 students.
2025-2026 School Planners will be available for purchase on your child’s Skyward account. Planners are $12 each, and NO cash will be accepted this year.
School Supply Drop-Off
Upper: Please bring all “Communal Items'' with you to Meet the Teacher. There will be designated drop-off areas for these supplies in the cafeteria. All other supplies belong with the student and will be kept with them in their locker and backpack. You should label all personal supplies with the student’s name. Students are encouraged to bring these with them and set up their lockers at Meet the Teacher.
Grammar: You have three days to drop off supplies, allowing you more time to enjoy teacher presentations. Please read carefully about each day.
Wednesday, August 6: 1 pm - 3:30 pm: Please label supplies with the student’s first, last name, and the teacher's name. Supplies will be taken directly to your child’s classroom. Please note: This is not an opportunity to meet the teacher.
Thursday, August 7: 1 pm - 3:30 pm: Please label supplies with the student’s first, last name, and the teacher's name. Supplies will be taken directly to your child’s classroom. Please note: This is not an opportunity to meet the teacher.
Friday, August 8: 8 am - 5 pm: During your scheduled Meet the Teacher time, please label supplies with the student’s first, last name, and the teacher's name. Parents will take supplies directly to the classroom.
Needed Forms
During the enrollment process, all forms were completed in Skyward and/or SchoolMint. If your account is missing forms, the school office will contact you directly.

Walker Permission Form- must be signed and filed in the office for any 3-5 students who will walk themselves up to the Upper campus for afternoon carline OR K-2 students being released at the walker door to parents or 6th- 12th-grade students.

Immunizations - All students must have up-to-date immunization records on file. Students cannot attend school without the appropriate documentation for the required vaccines or an affidavit of current exemption from the state.

CNP (Free and Reduced Breakfast Program) 2025-2026 Meal Application will be available soon. Once available, please choose Texas College Preparatory Academy (TCPA). Here is the information about the Child Nutrition Program. If you have any questions, please email or call the Grammar front office.
Car Line
Please carefully study the attached car line map, which details the procedures for dropping off and picking up all students on campus. Safety comes first. Please use the crosswalks at all times. Parents may NOT park at the Upper School campus during morning and afternoon carline times.
Morning carline runs from 7:30 to 8:00. Doors close at 8:00 a.m. Late arrivals must sign in at the office. (Grammar parents must sign in their students.)
Afternoon carline runs from dismissal at 3:15 to 3:55, at which time any remaining grammar and upper school students will be escorted to after-school care, and a fee of $25 per child will be charged.
Important note: All early pick-ups must occur before 2:30 p.m. Please email the teacher and the attendance email. Provide a doctor's note to the office upon return.
Car Tags: Please note that car tags for Grammar dismissal will be given out on Friday, August 8th, 2025, in your youngest child’s homeroom for your family. All families will receive new numbered car tags. No student will be released using a previous car tag or a picture of a current car tag. An extra pair of car tags with an additional number will be available at the office for $5 in Cash. Please visit the office to purchase these.
Volunteers
We have many wonderful volunteers who serve our teachers and students and help make our school community a wonderful place. Please consider volunteering!
Every new or returning adult who volunteers at the school and/or chaperones a field trip MUST complete a volunteer application EVERY YEAR. This application requires a background check, which can take up to three weeks or more. Please read the Volunteer Handbook, sign it, and return the last page to the front office. Once you are an approved volunteer, please sign up according to your volunteer preferences or contact your homeroom teacher.
ResponsiveEd - Volunteer Application - All Campuses - School Year 2025-2026
Help our students begin and end their day smoothly by helping with Carline! You will direct cars and greet students, helping the carline go smoothly.
Being a lunchroom volunteer is the perfect way to serve our student population. You will supervise students as they eat, help when needed, and clean tables.
PSO (Parent Service Organization)
Join our PSO! PSO will also have an information table at our Meet the Teacher event to help answer questions and welcome our families to the new school year.

Groggy Dog Spirit Wear Groggy Dog is our official spirit wear and Gym clothes vendor. Please review the site to purchase spirit shirts to wear every first and third Friday of each month. Groggy Dog will have an information table at our Meet the Teacher event to help answer questions about spirit wear and gym clothes, order uniforms, and deliver orders.

The ResponsiveEd Foundation supports ResponsiveEd's schools, including Founders Classical Academy of Flower Mound. Please consider donating for a general or specific campus need by designating your donation to FCA Flower Mound, or you can donate to Responsive Ed to help promote the organization’s mission and open additional schools.
